Dear Parents/Carers

Next week we will be focusing on initial sounds in phonics.  You can do lots at home to help your child such as “tonight for dinner we are having s-s-s-sausages!”  In number we will be looking at more and less, with Numicon and quantities.

Thank you for returning the Nasal Flu letters you received from the school nurse.  If you did not receive one of these, please see Miss Baker who can give you a letter.

The children are loving sharing their family photos with their classes.  If you would still like to send one in of your family, we would love have them.

Today the children will be bringing home a letter about Focus Children.  This is an exciting and in depth way to assess your children and how they progressing with their learning.  You play a really vital role in this and we really value your input. Please read the letter, and return the slip at the bottom to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Numeracy and Literacy information morning on 10th October at 9am or on the evening of 12th October at 7pm.  If you haven’t returned the slip from this letter, please speak to your child’s class teacher to let them know which session you will be able to attend.

We are very lucky to be given a real oven for us to use in our mud kitchen, although we are struggling to find a way to get it to school.  If you are able to or know somebody who has a van and muscles that might be able to help us out, please let us know! 🙂
