Dear Parents/ Carers
Happy New Year and welcome back to the Spring Term. We hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas break. Outdoor games will begin next week on Thursday afternoons only.
Please ensure the children have suitable outdoor kit which are all named, including a separate PE jumper.
We will be encouraging the children to play outdoors throughout the term. To ensure your child can participate in all activities, please ensure they have a waterproof coat at school. If your child wants to bring a hat and gloves, please ensure these are named too.
This term we are planning various trips and visitors to come and talk to us. These will focus on people who help us in the community. We will let you know if we need any parent helpers for these trips.
We really value the help from parents in the morning to support with reading and phonics games. This term, we are going to be focusing on reading high frequency words by sight (these are the pink/red word cards we send home with the reading books). We have lots of fun games for the children to play, and if you can spare half an hour from 9-9.30am once a week to help the children we would really appreciate it. Please speak to your child’s class teacher for further information.
